John Frederick Pastva 1956-2020

John Frederick Pastva, 63, of Woodsfield, Ohio unexpectedly passed away Monday July 27, 2020. He was born September 23, 1956 in Wheeling, WVA. He was a son to the late Ellis Dyson Pastva and late Mabel Lee Marmie Pastva.

John attended Union Local High School, and worked as a coal miner before he had taken ill and was moved to the Arbors in Woodsfield. John enjoyed tinkering and mechanical work on old cars and trucks.

Surviving are daughters, Amanda (John) Morrison of St. Clairsville, Ohio; Lucretia (Susie) Pastva of St. Clairsville, Ohio; a son, Michael Scott Pastva of Bethesda, Ohio; grandchildren, Logan Pastva, Abigail Pastva, Devin Morrison and Cheyenne Morrison; great-grandchildren, Monica Pastva, Kylie Powell and Addilynne Powell; sisters, Brenda (Donald) Lasley of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Leah Pastva McClurg of Litchfield Park, Arizona, and Kelli Jo (Jeffrey) McCann of Loudon, Tennessee.

Family and close friends will have visitation Saturday, August 1st beginning at 1 P.M. with a service at 2 P.M. at Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 702 East Main Street Barnesville, Ohio 43713.  Burial will take place at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville on Monday August 3rd.
