John W. Popescu, 84, formerly of Jefferson St. Martins Ferry, OH died Mon., Apr. 5, 2004 at Carriage Inn of Cadiz, Cadiz, OH. He was born Nov. 25, 1919 a son of the late Joseph Popescu and Laura (Pushkosh) Popescu Williams. He was a veteran of U.S. Army WW II. Surviving are several cousins including Rosemary Hale, Rita Nighman, and Kathleen Szymanski. Graveside services will be held Wed., Apr. 7, 2004 at 1:30 PM at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry with Rev. William O. Webster officiating.
