TOGETHER AGAIN:

John Schilling Jr. 90, of Martins Ferry passed away Wednesday December 13, 2023, at Shadyside Health Care Center. He was born April 11, 1933, in Martins Ferry, a son of the late John Sr. and Mary (Lander) Schilling.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church Martins Ferry, a retired custodian for the Martins Ferry School System, a veteran in the US Army, he was a member of the VFW post #4811 Yorkville, and the Cortland Post #540 American Legion.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Nanna L. (Messerly) Schilling, a sister Mary Louise Custer.

John is survived by his children Nannette (Kenneth) Troyan of Martins Ferry, Nadine (Stephen) Moore of Wheeling, and Johnny Schilling of VA, a brother Edward Schilling of Bridgeport, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home Heslop Chapel 415 Walnut St. Martins Ferry on Monday December 18, 2023, from 5-7 pm, where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am with, interment will be in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. Full military graveside services will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
