JOHN JOSEPH TIPTON

John Joseph Tipton, 86 of Bradenton, Florida, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019 at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton.  He was born November 19, 1932 in Piedmont, Ohio to the late Joseph and Myrtle (Duffy) Tipton.  He was preceded in death by siblings; Jim, Donald, Mike, Geneva, Peggy, Myrtle, Geraldine and Daisy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Blanche (Baker) of Bradenton; 3 daughters, Janet Morris of Florida, Bev (Rich) Lyons of Cambridge, Ohio, and Pat Tipton of Florida; 2 sons, Ron (Cindy) Tipton of Piedmont, Ohio and John (Melinda) Tipton of Florida; along with 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.  He has 2 surviving sisters, Jenny Pulley and Betty Moorman both of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

John worked 24 years for Cravat Coal Company in Ohio before moving to Florida, where he enjoyed many rounds of golf.  He loved his family, hard work, and his time on the links.

Visitation will be held at Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Services will follow at the funeral home at 1:00 pm, with the Pastor Bob Merritt officiating. Burial will follow at Sewellsville Cemetery, Barnesville.
