John Edward Totterdale II, 76, of Bridgeport, Ohio, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away suddenly on August 16, 2026. Born on December 22, 1949, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, John was the son of the late John and Emily (Kemo) Totterdale.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Matthew Totterdale.  

John is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lois Lee (Wilson) Totterdale, his children, John (“Jack”) Edward Totterdale III (Stacy) of Tiltonsville, OH, Brent Totterdale (Alli) of St. Clairsville, OH, Justin Totterdale (Kristina) of Cambridge, OH, Jamie Carter (Mike) of Oswego, NY, Brandy Baker of LeRoy, NY, and Stephanie Hooper-Golein (Matt) of Mount Pleasant, SC; his grandchildren, Andrew Hibbert, Logan Lockhart (Hunter), Brandon Baker, John (“JT”) Edward Totterdale IV, Zachary Baker, Gaige Carter, Harly Jo Totterdale, Carsen Golein, Kesler Golein, Justin Totterdale II, and Madison Totterdale; his great-grandson, Benson Lockhart; his sister, Terri Totterdale Hedger (Bob); John and Lee's dear friend, Connie Smith; and his nieces and nephews.

John (“Totty”) was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union #83 in Wheeling for 57 years, retiring from active work in 2014. He loved working and instilled an incredible work ethic in all his children.  

John will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

Family and friends are welcome to join a Celebration of Life held at 204 Arn Avenue, Tiltonsville, Ohio on August 29th between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.  Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.
