John L. Walford, 58, of Bridgeport died Sunday September 22, 2013 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Martins Ferry. He was born April 16, 1955 in Wheeling, a son of the late Edwin J. and Margaret G. (Dinsmore) Walford. He was a former Educator for Belmont County, and President of Kirkwood Hobbies. He was a graduate of Bridgeport High School class of 1974, and he loved building and collecting toys. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Edwin D. "Dinny" Walford. John is survived by his loving daughter Theresa (Joe) Linerode of Bridgeport, grandchildren Dorothy Johnson, and Joquin Pebble Jr., a good friend Lori Vincilione, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to a celebration of John's life on Wednesday September 25, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside. A family funeral will be held on Thursday at 11 am at the Funeral Home.
