John K. Wojchowski, 79, of Mt. Pleasant, OH, passed away April 20, 2017 at Liza's Place. He was born November 29, 1937, in Georgetown, OH, a son of the late John F. and Francis (Klaker) Wojchowski. He was a 38-year employee for Consol and Y&0 Coal and was retired from IMCO Recycling of Urichisville, OH. He was a member of St. Adalbert's Catholic Church, the Indian Club in Tiltonsville, Tuesday Golf League, a long-time coach for the Mt. Pleasant Mounties for his son and grandsons, the Mt. Pleasant Emergency Squad, and was the former mayor and firechief in Mt. Pleasant, OH. He loved fishing, hunting, golfing, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Cleveland Browns. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sisters, Jean Veloski and Lillian Plewniak. He is survived by his wife, and best buddy of 57 years, Rebecca (Martin) Wojchowski; children, Linda (Jack) Bartrug of Mt. Pleasant, John (Sondra) Wojchowski of Wheeling, WV, Kimberly (Robert) Boyd of Dillonvale, OH; brother, William Wojchowski; sisters, Janice Luginski, Juanita Fortuna; grandchildren; Brandon, Kassandra, Morgan, Tyler, Lydia, and Megan; great-grandson, Ryder; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received, Sunday, April 23 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 2nd St. Dillonvale, OH 43917 where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:30 with Monsignor John Kolesar officiating.
