John L. Yost Jr., 93 of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday January 15, 2014 at Acuity Hospital Trinity East Steubenville. He was born October 28. 1920 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late John L. Sr. and Edna (Alvey) Yost. He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Yorkville Plant, a veteran of WWII in the Merchant Marines, and the Dillonvale American Legion McCook Post #529. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty (Barney) Yost, and a brother Wendell Yost. John is survived by his daughters Sharon Yost of Yorkville, Linda Buck of Mt. Pleasant, Barbara (Jeff) Poludniak of Dillonvale, Tina (Marty) Ridgley of Newark, Ohio, and Dana Urrutia of Delaware, Ohio, a brother Clyde Yost of Lutz, Fl., 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. According to John's wishes there will be no visitation and private interment was held at the convenience of the family. Interment was in Highland Cemetery Mt. Pleasant.
