John Charles Zanders, 90 of Columbus formerly of Dillonvale passed away Monday, May 1, 2023.  He was born September 7, 1932, in Martins Ferry, the son of the late Charles and Mary (Kane) Zanders.

John was a retired Insurance Adjuster for State Auto Insurance Company, a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean conflict, he held membership in the American Legion in Columbus, and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Ohio State Buckeye's.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta (Vota) Zanders, sisters, Betty Midia and Mary Kay "Sis" Lohr.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Martina (Chuck) Sikora of Worthington and grand cat, "Xander".

Family will receive friends on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 5-8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home,154 Second St., Dillonvale, OH 43917.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 10am at the Funeral Home with Msgr. John Kolesar officiating.  Burial to follow at the Highland Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, OH.  Full Military Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the American Legion, McCook Post #529, Dillonvale.
