John H. Zmavec, 84, of Walter St., Yorkville, OH died Wed., Sept. 29, 2010 at Bishop Hodges Continuous Care, Wheeling, WV. He was born Dec. 10, 1925 in Glen Robbins, OH a son of the late John and Mary (Klobucar) Zmavec. He was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant. John was a veteran of the U.S. Army, WWII. In additions to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Rose Reece. Surviving are his wife Dorothy (Shinsky) Zmavec, and several nephews and nieces including niece Charlene Reece. Friends will be received Friday 6-8pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. Joyce Whippo officiating. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV. Military services will be held at the funeral home prior to services by the Belmont Co. Council of the V.F.W.
