Jordan E. Potts, 80, of Pickerington, OH, formerly of Shadyside, OH, died Tuesday, Mar. 23, 2010 at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, OH. He was born May 4, 1929 in Wheeling, WV the son of the late Curtis and Clara (Gressler) Potts. He was a retired High School Teacher, Head Track Coach, and Asst. Football Coach for River High School of Hannibal, OH. Jordan was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a Baptist. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Bertha (Geis) Potts and a sister Beverly Postlewaite. Surviving are his fours sons John Potts of Columbus, OH, Brian (Barbara) Potts, Joel (Gayle) Potts, and David (Kyndall) Potts all of Pickerington, OH, five granddaughters Lauren, Courtney, Jordan, Anne, and Kaitlyn, a sister Dolores Potts, and a special friend Jeanne Belleau. Friends will be received Thursday 6-9 pm and Friday, Mar. 26, 2010 from 10 am until time of services at 11:00 am at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH.
