JOSEPH BAZAN, 85, of Tiltonsville, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born May 6, 1923 in Connersville, the son of the late Lukas and Susanna (Gacia) Bazan. Joseph retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiltonsville and the Bridgeport Eagles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Paul and Mike Bazan and three sisters Elizabeth Levi, Mary Tokuazeski and Anna Bazan. Surviving are a daughter Donna Bazan of Shadyside and her fiancé George Bugaj; a brother John Bazan and his wife Barbara of Martins Ferry; three sisters Julia Pauletti, Margaret Shearer and Irene Maria all of Maryland; Sophia Bazan of Shadyside as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 102 Main St. Tiltonsville, where Vigil services will be held at 7:45 pm. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiltonsville with Monsignor George Coyne as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
