Joseph Albert Freund, 75 of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2024, at his home.  He was born on May 30, 1949, the son of the late Carl and Julia (Sanovich) Fruend.

Joe was a lifelong farmer and worked on the family farm, he was Catholic by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Freund and sisters, Virginia Hellrigel and Marie Zani.

Surviving are his siblings, Caroline Hackenberg of Benwood, West Virginia, and Julie Froble of Florida as well as many nieces and nephews and special friend, Matt Schmidt.

In keeping with Joe's wishes there will be no public visitation, and burial will take place at a later date at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Blaine.
