Joseph James "Jim" Helmbright, 62, of Mt. Pleasant passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.  He was born August 25, 1961, in Martins Ferry the son of the late Joseph Helmbright and Sarah "Sally" (Denger) Helmbright.

Jim was a self-employed General Contractor.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William & Marguerite Helmbright, maternal grandparents, William & Pauline Denger, brothers, Jeffrey and Jerald "Butch" Helmbright, nephew, CJ Gump.

Left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, Brenda Lewis, daughters Jennifer (Rodney Hurkman) Helmbright, Jamie Stedman and Jess, his mother, Sarah "Sally" Helmbright, grandchildren, Tyler and Kaylee, sisters, Jamie Gump, Judith (Mark) Lude, Jacqueline (Rich) Merrill, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 1-7pm at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, Ohio, 43935.  Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm at the funeral home, with Rev. Ken Staley and Rev. Lorraine Dill co-officiating.
