Joseph Chunko, Jr. Joseph Chunko, Jr., 99, of McGraw Nursing Home, Pleasant Grove, OH formerly of Mercer Rd., Adena, OH died Mon., Aug. 11, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born Mar. 20, 1904 in Budapest, Hungary a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Bodo) Chunko, Sr. He was retired from the former Tri-State Asphalt Corp. of Wheeling and a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Colerain. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Theresa (Torok) Chunko, a brother William Chunko, and three sisters Ann Laipple, Theresa Fridgyes, and Betty Zahnow. Surviving are two sons Robert J. Chunko and his wife Glenda of Thousand Oaks, CA and William E. Chunko and his wife Catherine of Lakewood, CO., eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Friends will be received Wed. 6-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003 at 10:00 AM with Rev. David Reasbeck officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
