KELLY, Joseph T., 60, of Economy Street, Wheeling, W.Va., died Friday October 16, 2009 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born in Wheeling, on February 17, 1949, a son of the late Robert Floyd Kelly and June Marie Porter Kelly. He was also preceded in death by a niece, Melissa Ashton. Joseph was a employee of Peterson Rehabilitation and Geriatric Center, Wheeling; a former employee of the former Tri-State Rack of Martins Ferry, a Catholic by faith, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, and a huge Steeler fan. He truly loved sports and his grandson "Scooter". Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Peggy Henry Kelly; two sons: Todd Kelly and his wife Stephanie, and Travis Kelly all of Wheeling; a brother, Robert F. Kelly and his wife Jennifer, three sisters: Mary Ellen Meadows and her husband Jim, Patty Jo McCombs, all of Columbus, Ohio, Kathy Ashton of Martins Ferry; grandchildren: Todd Aveary "Scooter" Kelly and Alex Theiss; several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, where services will be held Tuesday October 20, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., with Reverend John Mucha, officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling. Military services provided by the Belmont County Council of the American Legion.
