Obituary

Joseph Kosar Jr., 88, of Tiltonsville, Ohio, died Tuesday December 8, 2009 at Valley Hospice Center South "Liza's Place", Wheeling, W.Va. He was born in Lansing, Ohio on May 5, 1921, a son of the late Joseph and Bertha Franz Kosar. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Amelia M. Stemkowski in 1971; a brother Louis A. Kosar and a sister Dorothy Sobota. Joseph was a retired Shift Operating Engineer for A.E.P. Cardinal Plant, Brilliant, Ohio; a graduate of Bridgeport High, Class of 1939; a member of O.P.A.L. Ohio Valley Chapter of Keenagers; and a U. S. Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII. He truly loved fishing and playing the clarinet. Joseph is survived by his son, Joseph Kosar and his wife Pam of Raleigh, NC., a granddaughter Molly Kosar and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio where services will be held Saturday December 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend James Hoff, officiating.
