Joseph L. O'Malley, 91, of Bridgeport, OH passed away January 10, 2017 at Heartland Lansing Nursing Home. He was born March 21, 1925, a son of the late John Patrick and Lulu O'Malley. He was retired from General Motors, was a member of the Church of God in Brookside, and a U.S. Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters; Alice Detwiler, Norma McNinch, and Virginia "Jed" Thornburg; brother, Bernie O'Malley; niece Tammy Shutek; and nephew Bill Pyatt. He is survived by a nephew, Ernie (Pam) Pyatt of Bridgeport, OH; and niece Lisa (Scott) Chapman of Moundsville, WV. Friends will be received Friday, January 13, 2017 from 11a.m. until time of service at 1p.m at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH with Rev. James Hoff officiating. Full military services will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association at 1:30p.m. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
