Joseph S. Strama, 87, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Monday, August 31, 2015 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born October 24, 1927 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Kandrach) Strama. Joe retired from Picoma Industries and Martins Ferry Public Library. He is a member of American Legion Post #38 of Martins Ferry and a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters; Elizabeth Kovach, Ann Fodor and Mary Popp. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Patricia A. "Patty" (Ryan) Strama, his daughters; Judy (John) Winland of Colerain, OH, Karen (Mike) Lloyd and Lisa (Jim) Shriver both of Martins Ferry and grandchildren; Jill Winland, Jenna (Terry) Johnston, Lucas Lloyd, Cade Lloyd, Macy Shriver and Colby Shriver. Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Wednesday, 3-8 pm and Thursday, September 3, 2015, from 10 am until time of services at 11:00 am with Minister Rod Kasler officiating.
