Joseph A. Strauss Jr., 85, of Bridgeport, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in Liza's Place. He was born on August 20, 1940, a son of the late Andy and Cleo "Pat" (Koch) Soltis. Joe was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, was an Auto Mechanic for his entire working career and was employed by Hundley Ford for many years.  Joe was a member of the Lansing Sportsmen's Club, Forrester's, and Neffs Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing Euchre, and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.

Joe is survived by his children, Joseph (Jayme) Strauss, Carol (Bob) Fry, and Patricia (David) Zigaceek; a son-in-law, Lance Vicker; three brothers, John (Linda) Strauss, Andrew Soltis, and David (Kathy) Soltis; two sisters, Beth (Rick) Schoonmaker, and Shelly (Dale) Gray; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia Ann (Powell) Strauss in 2017; and a daughter, Tammie Vicker.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 8, 2026, at 1 pm in Linwood Cemetery with Father John Mucha officiating.  The family invites family and friends to gather at the funeral home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, at 12:30 pm Friday to process to the cemetery.
