Joyce E. Nelson, 68, of Barnesville, Ohio, died Monday, November 7, 2016 at Wheeling Hospital. Born August 17, 1948 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Bean and Bessie Jewell Bean. A member of East Richland Friends Church, Joyce was a woman, who when she loved, loved with her whole heart. She was an avid reader, enjoyed old movies, loved journaling, and had a wonderful sense of humor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Nelson. Joyce is survived by her sister, Carol Mann of St. Clairsville, Ohio; best friends, Donna Hudson, Becky McLeod; and her cat, Tigger. Honoring Joyce's wishes, there will be no visitation and a service followed by interment will be conducted at a later date.
