Juanita M. Santavicca, 93, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Friday, August 28, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry. She was born On February 22, 1916, in Shadyside, OH, the daughter of the late Clinton and Laura (Junkins) Stidd. She was a member of First Christian Church, Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Santavicca, who passed away on February 9, 2005. They were united in marriage on June 22, 1935. They were bless with a long and happy life together. She was preceded in death by one son Robert Lynn, and a grandson Gary Francis. Juanita was also preceded in death by seven brothers and six sisters. Surviving are four children, Francis (Thaida) Santavicca of Groveport, OH, Bernard (Gloria) Santavicca of Martins Ferry, Sharon Santavicca of Groveport, and Janice (John) Andenoro of Wheeling, WV, a sister Nellie L. Cochran of FL, five grandchildren, Robert (Tammy) Santavicca of Reynoldsburg, OH, Roger Santavicca of Columbus, OH, Pamela Santavicca of Granville, OH, Renee (Mike) Miklas of Martins Ferry, and Lisa (Derrick) Rine of St. Clairsville, OH, eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Juanita had two wonderful friends who assisted in her daily care, Mary Ann Rice and Margaret Cole. She will be sadly missed by her family and all the friends who knew her. Many thanks to all from East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care who cared for Juanita and made her comfortable in her time of need. Friends will be received Sunday 12-3 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Monday, August 31, 2009 at 1:00 pm with Minister Rod Kasler officiating.
