Judith L. "Judy" (Linton) Ivan, 68, of Locust St., Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010 at Belmont Community Hospital, Bellaire, OH. She was born July 13, 1942 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Donald J. and Esther (McCollough) Linton. She was a former employee of Griffiths Pharmacy and the former Select Market both of Martins Ferry. Judy was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church, Martins Ferry. Above all else she was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Pete Ivan, and infant brother John Eldon Linton. Surviving are three sons Dave (Colleen) Ivan of Lansing, OH, Donnie (Jennifer) Ivan of Redmond, WA, and John (Rhonda) Ivan of Pickerington, OH, a sister Donna (Ron) Gordon of Lansing, six grandchildren Dakota, Samantha, Jordan, Chloe, Parker and Olivia Ivan, a niece Rhonda Neer, and many close friends including Dale and Ruth Travis. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut and Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. Van Fisher officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 307 Clay St., Martins Ferry, OH or The American Lung Association, 1950 Arlingate Ln., Columbus, OH 43228.
