Judith Susan (Johnson) Manukin, 82, of Lansing, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on August 10, 2026, surrounded by the presence, love and prayers of her devoted family and comforted by the promises of her unwavering Roman Catholic faith. Born on February 9, 1944, in St. Clairsville, she was the youngest daughter of
the late Clyde Johnson and Julia (Hudock) Johnson of Blaine and was preceded in death by four sisters and seven brothers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Jerry Manukin, their children, Jerry (Taralyn) Manukin, and Michele (Jeremy) Baran, grandchildren Morgan, Jerry (Megan), Mackenzie (Jonathan), Hannah, and Madeleine, and great grandchildren, Nora, Wyatt, Ada, Jameson plus one more on the way.
Judith graduated from St. John Central High School class of 1962. Deeply devoted to the Catholic faith, she was a dedicated member of St. Joseph Parish in Bridgeport, a member of the Catholic Women's Club, and shared her faith through her service as a lector and frequently leading the Rosary before mass.
She spent many years alongside her husband helping with the family business, Rose Bowl Lanes in Wheeling WV. An accomplished league bowler, she was honored with induction into the Wheeling Bowling Association Hall of Fame and earned many awards over the years. She was a cherished and respected member of the bowling community.
She treasured spending time with her family and enjoyed reading and playing bingo with her friends. She held a special devotion to St. Jude and the Blessed Mother and faithfully prayed the Rosary. Loved by so many, she will be remembered for her sweet and gentle nature, remarkable kindness, and the genuine goodness she showed to everyone around her.
Family and friends are warmly invited to the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am on August 17th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 68210 Neola Ave., Bridgeport, OH, 43912.
Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, OH. Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport, OH is assisting the family.
