Judith Kay (Westlake) McLaughlin , 86, of Dublin, OH, died on July 18, 2019, at The Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing in Dublin.

She was born July 9, 1933 in Martins Ferry, OH, a daughter of the late Melvin Jones Westlake and Dorothy (Pickens) Westlake, and raised with care in Colerain, OH alongside her sister, Diana.

Judy was a 1951 graduate of Martins Ferry High School, and attended The Ohio State University, where she pledged Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

She retained a lifelong love of all things Ohio State. Throughout her life, she made her home in Shadyside, OH, Baudette, MN, Green Valley, AZ, and finally Dublin, OH, but always considered herself a proud Buckeye. Her other passion was golf, and she threw herself into the sport with her trademark enthusiasm where ever she lived.

Judy was a sustaining member of the Junior League of Tucson; a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Madera Chapter, Green Valley, AZ; a life member of The Ohio State Alumni Organization; a member of the Ohio State Marching Band Script Ohio Club; the Tucson Ohio State Alumni Club; the National Mah Jongg League; the Republican Club of Green Valley/Sahuarita; and a past Republican Party Executive Board Member of Belmont County, OH. She served as Women's Golf President/Chairman in clubs in OH, MN, and AZ. She was a Women's Golf Club Champion in Oak Harbor, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron H. McLaughlin, M.D.; her parents; her sister, Diana Westlake Sutherland; and a granddaughter, Emily Rice.

Surviving are her children, Diana Helstrom (Richard Downey) of Wheeling, WV, Susan (Alan) Garber of Tucson, AZ, Daniel (Kathy) Duncan of Nitro, WV, Mardie Millit (Michael Garin) of New York, NY, and Sam (Paula) Millit of Powell, OH; five grandchildren (Zachary Smith, Ginny (Corey) Fortin, Michael Yonker, Sarah (Charlie) Karling Lizzie Helstrom (Talen Sid Russ-Crouch); and one great-grandchild, Stark Zane-Crouch Helstrom.
