Julius "Red" Koles 89 of Rayland died Saturday September 2, 2017 at his home. He was born June 27, 1928 in Deep Run a son of the late John and Lena (Kuhn) Koles.

He was a retired Iron Worker with Local #549 in Wheeling, and a US Marine in the Korean. He also was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Tilltonville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Kathryn Louise (Wittmen) Koles in 2003.

Julies is survived by two daughters Jeri Koles, and Stacy Koles both of Portsmouth, VA, two sisters Julia Holtman, and Helen Kowalcic both of Cleveland.

According to Julius's wishes there will be no visitation and private interment will be held at Upland Heights Cemetery Yorkville. Wilson Funeral Home 103 Main Street assisting the family.
