June Dora Blaney, 95, of Bethesda passed away at her home on December 16, 2022.  She was born on July 7, 1927, a daughter of the late James and Bertha (Schliecher) Digity.

June was a member of the Bethesda Methodist Church.  She loved nature and spending time with her family and friends.  June enjoyed traveling with her husband to the beach, especially to Puerto Rico.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Guy E. Blaney and son-in-law, Robert Lurvey.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; James (Brenda) Blaney of Bethesda, OH, Patricia Lurvey of Longmont, CO; grandchildren, Elaine (Bryan) Swallow, and Carol (Robert) Bond; great-grandchildren, Patrick and Isaac Swallow, and Eric and Katelyn Bond.

Private burial services will be held at the convenience of the family at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda. Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel will be assisting the family.
