Junior Richard Sponaugle, 92, of Bridgeport, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 in Rolling Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born on November 1, 1928 in Whitmere, WV a son of the late Oscar and Norma Jean (Arbogast) Sponaugle.  He retired from Winsor Power Co, was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine (Moore) Sponaugle; a son, Jim (Deb) Thomas; 3 daughters, Nancy (Bill) Haynes, Connie (Scott) Rose and Patricia Thomas; a sister, Elizabeth Neidert; 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Kenneth Sponaugle and Raymond Stull and a sister, Wilma Goddard.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic all services will be at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.
