Kathleen "Kathy" Marie (Dwyer) Matesic, 79, of Martins Ferry died Friday, October 13, 2023, at Wheeling Hospital surrounded by her children. She was born May 14, 1944, in Pittsburgh, PA.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard "Dick" Matesic, parents Jim & Isabel (Hicks) Dwyer, brothers Pat and Jack Dwyer.

Kathy was a devoted and loving caregiver to her husband after his stroke, a proud mother and grandmother to her 3 children and 6 grandchildren, and an accomplished businesswoman. She kept her sense of humor and made her family laugh until the bitter end.

Kathy is survived by a son Rich (Jenny) Matesic, II, of Lore City, OH, two daughters Monica (Scott) Foster of Dublin, OH, and Lorrie (David) Barritt of Martins Ferry, six grandchildren Zach and Ethan Foster, Tyler (Jonathan) Carlier and Deric Matesic, and Jake and Lissy Barritt, sister-in-law Kathy (Matesic) Kavage and cousin Arlene Fehr.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice. The Humane Society and Hospice were meaningful to Kathy. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 3:00 pm at the Foresters Club, 55935 W 2nd Street, Bridgeport, OH.
