Obituary

Kathleen M. McCombs Kathleen M. Stephens McCombs, 75, of N. 5th St., Martins Ferry, OH, and formerly of Reno, NV, died Thur., Feb. 28, 2002 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glendale, WV. She was born Dec. 9, 1926 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Joseph and Ruby French Stephens. She was a long time employee of the former Marx Toy Factory, retired from W.R. Grace of Reno, NV, and worked part-time at Martins Ferry High for several years. Kathleen was a member of the First Christian Church, Martins Ferry; V.F.W. Post #437 Auxiliary of Moundsville, WV; American Legion Post #46 Auxiliary of Benwood, WV; AARP; and Osiris Shrine Auxiliary of Wheeling. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Gerald Neal, a daughter Diana G. Eiler, and a sister Dolores Kelly. Surviving are her husband Spencer B. McCombs, four sons Kenneth Neal and his wife Bonnie of Virginia Beach, VA, Rusty Loiselle of Bourbonnais, IL, Willard Eiler, Jr and his wife Sherry of Reno, NV, and George Eiler of Sparks, NV, two daughters Kathy Green of Yuma, AZ and Patricia Cline and her husband Donald of Martins Ferry, two stepsons David McCombs of Steubenville and Brent McCombs and his wife Karen of Dublin, OH, a stepdaughter Barbara Oravec and her husband Robert of Branford, CT, her second husband Willard W. Eiler, Sr., of Powhatan Point, OH, a sister Evelyn Snodgrass of Martins Ferry, nineteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH Sat. 7-9 PM and Sun. 2-4 and 7-9 PM where services will be held Mon. at 10:30 AM with Minister Rod Kasler officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Osiris Temple of Wheeling.
