KATHRYN BIERIE, 88, a longtime resident of Lansing, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Barnesville Health Care Center. She was born January 1, 1921 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Steve and Helen (Hoskovich) Rydosz. Kathryn was employed by the former Marx Toy Factory in Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Bierie; two brothers Andy and Mike; two sisters Mary and Helen; an infant grandson Vincent Magers; and two special friends Andy Nagy and Leo Eddy. Kathryn is survived by two daughters Andrea Magers and her fiancé Ron Gable of Paden City, WV, and Lillian Laughman and her husband Richard of Martins Ferry; a sister Anna Urbanek of Powhatan Point; four grandchildren Susan and Jill Magers of Paden City and Ricky and Joey Laughman of Martins Ferry; several nieces and nephews as well as her wonderful caregiver and special friend Nancy Wineman of Barnesville. Visitation will be Wednesday 5 - 9 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 pm with Reverend James Garrett officiating.
