Kathryn E. (Galloway) Thorburn, 90, of Wayne Hayes Tower and formerly of Scotch Ridge, Martins Ferry, OH died Mon., Sept. 26, 2005, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born Mar., 24, 1915 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy (Willerton) Galloway. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry and Emerson Grange #1426. Kathryn was a graduate of Bellaire High School Class of 1933. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband David C. Thorburn in 1983. Surviving are six daughters Nancy (Kenneth) Pennington of Mulberry, FL, Juanita (David) Stuckey of Colerain, OH, Sara (Kenneth) Miller of Goodlettsville, TN, Davida (Larry) Hamsher of Dalton, OH, Dorothy "Dee" Brown of Quaker City, OH, and Cille (Jeff) Childers, of Johnstown, OH, fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Friends will be received Thur., 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Fri., Sept. 30, 2005 at 11:00 AM with Rev. William O. Webster officiating. Burial follows in Scotch Ridge Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Elder services will be held Thursday at 7 PM in the funeral home.
