Kathryn "Kathy" Lynn Reed, 57, of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021, in UPMC Montifiore Hospital, Pittsburgh.  She was born on June 13, 1964, in Martins Ferry a daughter of Betty (Briggs) Douglas and the late Leslie Douglas.  Kathy was a graduate of Bridgeport High School and loved swimming, long walks, gardening, and preparing family dinners.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Alvin Reed; her mother, Betty Douglas; 2 daughters, Casey Reed, and Kari (Josh Clevenger) Reed; 2 sons, Cody (Noelle Matheny) Reed and Douglas Reed; 3 brothers, Chuck (Laura) Douglas, Rick Douglas, and Jimmy (Gena) Douglas; 5 grandchildren, Winter, Jazzalyn, Flora, Maverick and Eileen and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday from 11 am to 1 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 pm in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
