Kathryn E. Hathaway Kathryn E. Santa Hathaway, 94, of Scioto Dr. Steubenville, OH, formerly a life long resident of Martins Ferry, died Sun., Jan. 19, 2003 at her son's home. She was born Apr. 18, 1908 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Tankovits) Santa. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace E. Hathaway, two brothers Frank and Steve Santa, five sisters Loretta Smith, Mary Tice, Margaret Roscoe, Esther Gaughan and an infant sister. Surviving are her son, Russell E. Hathaway and his wife Mary of Steubenville, OH, two brothers Joseph Santa of Mission Viejo, CA and Charles Santa of Huston, TX, six grandchildren Russell Hathaway, Jr. and his wife MariAnn of Prosperity, PA, Frank Hathaway and his fiancé Brenda Roark of Xenia, OH, Kay Michetti and her husband Paul of Wintersville, Hope Spon of Steubenville, Lynn Hathaway and her companion Mary Beth Lima of Baton Rouge, LA and Eve Gengras and her husband Keith of Columbus, OH, and nine great grandchildren. Friends will be received Tue. 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wed., Jan. 22, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
