Kathryn J. Sigmon 86, of St. Clairsville, went to be with the Lord on Friday December 12, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family and the Angels of God. She was born May 3, 1928 in Statesville, NC, a daughter of the late Everett and Leora (Shaver) Plyler. She was a former telephone operator for Southern Bell Telephone Co. in Charlotte, NC, and a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church Brookside. Kathryn had a terrific personality when you met her you would like her and if you truly knew her you would love her. Kathryn served in a mutual ministry with her husband when he served his internship as Pastor at Peace Lutheran Church in Gahanna, Ohio. And when he served as minister at Trinity Lutheran Church in South Newstead, New York, St. Paul' Lutheran Church Brookside, and Trinity Lutheran Church Bridgeport. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Calvin Anthony "Tony" Sigmon, two brothers and four sisters. Kathryn is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Rev. Calvin L. Sigmon, a son Barry (Sarah) Sigmon, of St. Clairsville, three daughters Carole Ann Sigmon, Melanie (Chuck) Saksa, and Myra Lynn (Chris) Horne all of St. Clairsville, four grandchildren Mindy Saksa and her fiancée Trevor Yates, Ben (Andrea) Saksa, Antonia Sigmon, and Lelia Sigmon. Friends and family will be received at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Tuesday December 16, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. There will also be visitation of Wednesday from 11 am till time of services at 12 noon at St. Paul's Lutheran Church 56381 National Road Bridgeport, Ohio, with Rev. Karen Torrez officiating.
