Kathryn Ann Sohovich, 87, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away February 18, 2014 at Weirton Geriatric Center, Weirton. She was born August 10, 1926 in Lilly, Pa, a daughter of the late Raymond L. and Matilda (Smith) Pashke. She was a retired Assistant to the Treasurer of Indian Creek School System, a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church Mingo Junction, also the CWC of the church. She was also a former member of the Mingo Junction Library Board. Kathryn was also an avid Notre Dame fan. Kathryn is survived by her sons Martin Sohovich of Mingo Junction, and Byron (Debra) Sohovich of Westerville, Ohio, a daughter Deborah (Joel) Carpini of Weirton, WV, three brothers Kevin (Dialene) Pashke, and Nial (Dorothy) Pashke both of Mingo Junction, and Anthony (Valerie) Pashke of Weirton, two sisters Fernand Cox of Wooster, Ohio, and June (Larry) Nicholson of Elizabeth City NC, two sister-in-laws Edna and Joann Pashke, grandchildren Jessica, Adam, Alyssa, and Stuart Sohovich, Jamie Roan, Joseph, and Natalie Carpini, a great granddaughter Alexis Faris.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Daniel John Sohovich in 1968, a grandson Daniel Sohovich, brothers Raymond, and Paul Pashke, sisters Mary Louise Pashke, and Carol Ann Snyder, and brothers-in-law Ronald Cox and Harold Snyder. Friends and family will be received at the Blaschalk-Wilson Funeral Home 115 Union Avenue Mingo Junction on Thursday February 20, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. And then on Friday at St Agnes Catholic Church Mingo Junction from 9am till time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10 am, with Fr. James M. Dunfee as celebrant, interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Steubenville. Wake service will be recited on Friday at 7:45 pm at the Funeral Home.
