Kayleigh Jade Dalrymple, age 14, of Chillicothe, Illinois passed away Friday, January 17, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois as the result of an automobile accident.
Kayleigh was born April 16, 2010 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a daughter of Michael D. Dalrymple and Jessica D. Shrewsbury.
Kayleigh was a freshman at Illinois Valley Central High School in Chillicothe. She enjoyed life and spending time with her friends. Her siblings were her world and every moment she spent with them was cherished. She was loving, caring, free-spirited and enjoyed being outdoors. Kayleigh was true to herself and was not afraid to speak her mind.
Surviving are her father, Michael, of Summerfield, Ohio and her mother, Jessica (Matthew Pilkington), of Chillicothe, Illinois; her siblings, Dillon Dalrymple of Chillicothe, Illinois, Makenzie Dalrymple of Woodsfield, Ohio, Nathaniel Huntsman of Ozark, Ohio, Noah Huntsman of Ozark, Ohio, Kynnlee Dalrymple of Woodsfield, Ohio, Khloe Dalrymple of Woodsfield, Ohio, Maycee Dalrymple of Canton, Ohio and Shaelyn Dalrymple of Summerfield, Ohio; her grandparents, Rose Seyferth (Ray Pilkington), Robert (Misty) Shrewsbury, Sandra Rose Dalrymple and Sheila Brooks; several aunts and uncles, Josh (Danielle) Shrewsbury, Chris Shrewsbury, Justice Shrewsbury, Alexis (Dakota) Sampson, Courtney (Chris) Smathers, Kristina (Casey) Lucas, and Lesley (Josh) Smith; also many cousins. Also surviving is Kayleigh's great-aunt, Lisa Nalley, who helped raise her. Kaleigh was preceded in death by her grandfather, Harry Dalrymple, and her great-uncle, Victor Mercer.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 27 at Wilson Funeral Home – Harper Chapel, Beallsville, Ohio from 12noon until the time of her funeral service at 3pm with Wayne Clark officiating. Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers and keepsakes, contributions may be made in Kayleigh's memory to Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Bridgeport, Ohio 43912 to help with expenses.
