Keith D. Perry, 71, of Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born Sept. 21, 1941 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Ray H. and Clara Perry and stepson of the late Beatrice Perry and Janet E. (Pickett) Perry. Mr. Perry was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. Keith was past exalted ruler of Ohio River Valley Elks #231. At the time of his death he was serving as secretary of the organization. He also served many years with the Boy Scouts of America Troop #62. Keith was a protestant by faith and member of the First United Methodist Church, Martins Ferry. In addition to his parents and step-parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Edwin and Sally (Rutter) Perry. He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Marcia (Gillespie) Perry of Martins Ferry. They married July 20, 1963. He is also survived by his son; Bryan (Charlene) Perry of Martins Ferry, two granddaughters; Amanda (Gary) Phillips of Elm Grove, WV and Jessica Trigg of Flushing, OH, three great-grandsons; Connor, Colin, and Colton Phillips, a sister; Darlene (John) Hercules of Bridgeport, OH, a sister-in-law; Jeanne (Bill) Barrett of New Cumberland, WV, several nieces and nephews; and his best buddy, Reese. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Van Fisher officiating. Burial follows at Riverview Cemetery in Martins Ferry. Martins Ferry Elks will hold services Tues.at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
