Kenneth H. Conaway, 89, of Martins Ferry, OH died Sunday, April 22, 2007 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born July 15, 1917 in Rush Run, a son of the late Hayes L. and Alice (Donley) Conaway. He was a retired contractor and a veteran of the U.S. Army WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Elsie M. (Brown) Conaway in 1980, a son Terry A. Conaway, four grandchildren David L. Younkins, Jr., Roy C. Conaway, Jr., Ricky Alltop, Jr., and Tracy Alltop, and three sisters Mary Hughes, Martha Mortakes, and Loraine McLaughlin. Surviving are ten daughters Becky Younkins, Ruth (Richard) Alltop, Debbie Sarko, and Rachael Conaway all of Martins Ferry, Denise Showalter and Alice (Ronald) Holstein both of St. Clairsville, Carol (Garry) Pegg of Moundsville, WV, Tammy Zastudil of Steubenville, OH, Jennifer (Gary) Long of Rayland, OH, and Janie (Michael) Meintel of Shadyside, OH, three sons Roy (Cyl) Conaway of St. Clarisville, Brian (Paige) Conaway of Mingo Junction, OH, and Timothy Conaway of Mt. Pleasant, three brothers George Conaway of Yorkville, William (Mary) Conaway of Mozart, WV, and Carl (Shirley) Conaway of Martins Ferry, three sisters Jean DeLelles and Virginia (Elmer) Hinzey both of Martins Ferry, and Helen (Wilbur) Miller of Shadyside, and twenty-three grandchildren, and twenty-six great grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Curtis Moser officiating.
