Kenneth R. Dennis, 82, of Elm St., Martins Ferry, OH died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born Oct. 17, 1925 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Ralph L. and Helen M. (McKim) Dennis. He was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School, Miami University in Oxford, OH, and attended the Ohio State University Graduate School of Business. Ken was a Certified Public Accountant and worked for Arthur Anderson & Co. for 15 years in their Cleveland and Cincinnati offices. He also worked for the Del E. Webb Corp. in Phoenix, AZ for 20 years and retired as their Executive Vice President and Controller. Ken was an Elder and member of the First Presbyterian Church, former secretary of the Rotary Club, former member of the Board of Directors of the Historical Society, and a member of American Legion Post #38 all of Martins Ferry. He also was a member of Junior Achievement of Phoenix, AZ, the American Institute of C.P.A.'s, and the Ohio Society of C.P.A.'s. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WW II. Surviving are cousins Ruth Dennis Gross of Martins Ferry, Martha Dennis Dougherty of West Alexander, PA, and his long time companion Lenore Campbell of Wheeling, WV. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service, Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 400 Walnut St., Martins Ferry with Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiating.
