Obituary

Kenneth Leo Meister, 87, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed Thursday January 8, 2015 at home. He was born in Bellaire, Ohio on September 24, 1927, a son of the late Charles and Katherine Spanner Meister. He was retired from the W.Va. State Liquor Department; a U.S. Army WWII Veteran, a member of Masonic Lodge Bates #33, Royal Arch Masons #1; and a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Henrietta (Penny) Heiniger; sisters Margaret Reasbeck, Cecelia Hanly and a brother Charles Meister. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Patricia Ann (Taylor) Meister; sons: Richard Keith (Jacqueline) of Columbus, Ohio, James Edward Meister (Darlene Groves) of Wheeling; grandchildren: Christopher Meister, Kevin Meister, Stephanie Meister; a great-granddaughter Rachel Meister; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday 12 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, and then on Monday January 12, 2015 from 10 until time of services at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brookside, with Rev. Karen Torrez officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
