Kimberly Sue (Wensyel) Riser, 65, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her children, on Saturday, February 4, 2023.

She was born on June 14, 1957, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, daughter of the late Donald and Ruth Ann (Richards) Wensyel.

Kim was a 1975 graduate of Martins Ferry High School.  She retired from Super 8 in Wheeling, West Virginia, where she was the manager for 5 years.  Kim was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to all who knew her.  She was a faithful and kind woman, who believed in the Lord.  Kim always wanted to be a mom and adored her three children.  She enjoyed playing cards with her kids and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas William Riser.  Sisters, Melody Cohen of Martins Ferry, Ohio; Diana Reed (Robert) of Columbus, Ohio; Brother, Donald Wensyel (Barbara) of Martins Ferry, Ohio.

She is survived by her two children: daughter, Jennifer Riser (Tricia Vargo) of Wheeling, WV and son, Jamie Riser, of Martins Ferry, Ohio.  Sisters, Janice McConaghy of Martins Ferry, Ohio; Tammy Williams (Tom) of Follansbee, West Virginia; Robin Wensyel of Lake Worth, Florida; Brothers, Scott Wensyel (Melanie) of Canton, Ohio and Sean Wensyel (Lori) of Wellington, Florida.

Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio is proudly assisting the family.

All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  A memorial celebration of Kim's life will be held at a later date.
