Larry James Lucas, 66, of Barnesville, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born August 18, 1949 in Wheeling, West Virginia, son of Mary Lucas Hynes and the late Lawrence Lucas.
A loving father, grandfather, son, and brother, he enjoyed trucking, was very mechanical, and loved a good game of Black Jack. Larry served his country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam era.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Brandy "Nickie" Mansfield of Lafferty, Ohio; son, Larry James "LJ" Lucas of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Brandon Lee, Kayla Marie, Ashley Lynn; mother, Mary Lucas (Don) Hynes of St. Clairsville, Ohio; sisters, Theresa Starr of Bethesda, Ohio, Misty (Jerry) Long of North Carolina; and brothers, Jack (Bonnie) Lucas of Morristown, Ohio, Rusty (MaryAnn) Lucas of Bethesda, Ohio.
Family and friends are welcome to visit, Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service beginning at 1 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio. Reverend Tom Detling officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio, where Military Honors will be conducted by Belmont County Veterans' Association.
