Larry D. Walters, 82, of Bridgeport, OH, died Thursday, August 25, 2016 at his home. He was born October 27, 1933 in Sistersville, WV a son of the late Charles R. Walters, Sr. and Reba (Boston) Walters. He was retired from American Sanitary Supply of Wheeling, WV and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Martins Ferry, OH. Larry was a veteran of the U. S. Army, Korean War. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Jo Daughtery and his brother, C. Ray Walters, Jr., his sister, Harriette Case and his sister-in-law, Sara Leach. Surviving are his wife, Josephine M. (Murabito) Walters, his children; Michael (Shelia) Walters of Bridgeport and Lori (Michael) Kutys of Martins Ferry, his brother, Gary (Linda) Walters of Bloomington, IL, nine grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Kathi Gump, Rosalie Micucci and Lynn DeGasperis and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Sunday 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday, August 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Tom Marut officiating. Burial follows in St. Mary's Mausoleum, Martins Ferry. Wake services will be held Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Military honors will be presented Monday at 9:00 a.m. by the Belmont County Veteran's Association.
