Lawrence E. (Pete) Flowers, 87 of Wolfhurst, Ohio passed away Friday May 22, 2026, at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 30, 1948, in Bellaire, the son of the late Goff and Edith (Littleton) Flowers.
Pete was a proud graduate of Bellaire High School class of 1956. He retired after 42 years at International Harvester/Navistar followed by 10 years at Belmont Senior Services; he was also an extra duty Police Officer for 14 years for the village of Bellaire. Pete was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wolfhurst and was a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Maureen (McCreary) Flowers in 2021, grandson, Thomas Michael Flowers, sisters, Evelyn Rejonis, Marie Dougherty, and Emma Lou Gibbs, brothers, Clyde, Albert, and Richard Flowers.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Tom Flowers, of New Athens, Larry and Charles Flowers of Wolfhurst, and Mary Edith Flowers of Lansing, grandchildren, Joshua, Jacquelyn and Cheyenne Flowers and Austin Uhl.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 4-8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be Thursday, May 28, 2025, at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 68210 Neola Avenue, Bridgeport, OH 43912, officiated by Fr. John Mucha. Burial to follow at Belmont Memorial Cemetery, St. Clairsville, with full Military Honors presented by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 68210 Neola Avenue, Bridgeport, 43912, in memory of Lawrence (Pete) Flowers.
