LEAH J. LUCKI, 83, of Brookside, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Bishop Joseph H. Hodges Continuous Care Center in Wheeling. She was born September 2, 1925 in Wheeling, the daughter of the late John and Angela (Carney) Schroeder. Leah graduated from the Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing and later retired as a Registered Nurse with Wheeling Hospital after more than 35 years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wolfhurst and will be sadly missed by her monthly card club friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Tom Schroeder. Leah is survived by her husband Ralph Lucki, Sr. of Brookside; three sons Ralph Jr. and his wife Debbie of Wheeling, WV, Bruce and his wife Denise of Toledo, OH and Ron and his wife Michelle of Columbus, OH; a brother John Schroeder and his wife Gerri of Bowling Green, OH and eight grandchildren Ryan, Brandon, Jared, Kyle, Cassie, Jordan, Aaron and Lauren. Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where Vigil services will be held at 7:30 pm. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wolfhurst with Father John Mucha as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, OH.
