Leona G. (Smith) Linn, 91, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born June 14, 1921 in Dearborn, MI a daughter of the late Harold L. and Eva J. (Barton) Smith. Leona was a Protestant by faith and a member of the United Woman's Bowling Assoc. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George H. Linn, a daughter Delores Patrick, a son Bill Linn, a grandson Ralph E. Linn, Jr., brothers; Roger, Francis, Andrew, William, Fred, Richard, and Harold Smith, Jr. and two sisters Marie Bennett and Geraldine Hoffman. Surviving are her son Ralph (Sharon) Linn of Bridgeport, OH, three daughters; Margaret Habig of Martins Ferry, Inez Ramsey of Las Vegas, NV and Carol Stewart of Lansing, OH, a brother James Smith of Charlottesville, VA, 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Friends will be received Sunday, 12-3 and 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, where services will be held Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at 10:00 am with Rev. Kevin Rowland officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this page.
