Leonard John Bodemann Sr., 88, of Colerain, OH passed away April 21, 2018 at home.  He was born November 16, 1929 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Leonard and Mary (Rentzler) Bodemann.  He graduated from Wheeling Central High School, and was an Army Veteran who served in Korea.  He worked at Tri-state Asphalt Company, and retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Company in Martins Ferry, OH.  He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Colerain, OH.  He was a member of the American Legion in Martins Ferry and the VFW of Colerain.  He also attended the Colerain Senior Center.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Long of Wheeling, and Mary Lou Pucci of Cleveland, OH.    He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy (Grimm) Bodemann; his five children, Lynn (Jeff) Bodemann Richards of Tampa, FL, Becky (Frank) Abel of Salem, OH, Cindy (Allan) Levi of Tiltonsville, Leonard (Kathy) Bodemann Jr. of Cambridge, OH, Tim (Glenda) Bodemann of Martins Ferry; six grandchildren, Steven Abel and Miranda Little of Salem, OH, Luke and Lydia Levi of Tiltonsville, Lauren Levi of Columbus, Lindsay Bodemann of Martins Ferry; one great-grandson; brother, Richard Bodemann of Tiltonsville; and sister, Regina Young of Warwood, WV.  Friends will be received Monday, April 23 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH 43912.  Wake services will be held at 7pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with Fr. Tim McGuire serving as celebrant.  Interment to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.  Military graveside services will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Amedisys Hospice Care, 52171 National Rd.
