Obituary

LEONARD ALAN DUVALL

Leonard Alan Duvall, 75, of Bethesda, passed away peacefully at Forest Hill Care Center, March 10, 2021.  He was born May 7, 1945 to the late Ernest and Pearl Duvall.  Also, preceding Leonard in death was his brother, Audren (Tubby) Duvall and sisters, Helen Saffell and Mary Ann Lucas.

Remembering many happy memories are those who survive; sister, Shirley Salimbene of Florida; nephews, Rory (Rebecca) Salimbene, Mark, and Bruce Salimbene and Ron (Robin) Duvall; niece, Lana (Mike) Phillips; and very special friends, Jay and Kathy Gummere.

He worked as an equipment operator for Oxford Mining and enjoyed days spent working on his farm.  In his younger days, he was a very skilled football player. A very trustworthy and special man, Leonard made the world a little brighter, a little warmer, and a little gentler by simply being who he was.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from Noon until the time of service, beginning at 2:00 pm, Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda.  Maryann Droll will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.

Due to the current health concerns, we kindly request that everyone wear a mask or facial covering, to observe all social distancing guidelines, as well as refraining from food and beverages in the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Forest Hill Care Center and Amedisys Hospice for the loving care Leonard received.
