Leora J. Meade, 88, of Flushing, Ohio, died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. She was born July 6, 1927 in Ravenna, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry Earl Tarr and Catherine M. Schaefer Tarr. A loving, caring, and hardworking wife, mother, and grandmother, Leora's family was precious to her. She enjoyed fishing and had a passion for the sport of NASCAR racing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elaine Lehman. Leora is survived by her husband with whom she shared 45 years, Fond Meade of Flushing, Ohio; daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Arnold (John Newsome) of Alpine, Texas, Kathy (Miles) Pillar of Dover, Ohio, Kathy Meade (Kim Beedle) of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Michael Pillar of Dover, Ohio and Bebe Pillar of San Diego, California; and brothers, Earl (Dorothy) Tarr of Bradford, Ohio and Durwood "Dub" (Peggy) Tarr of Brunswick, Georgia. Family and friends are welcome to visit, Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio, where the service for Leora will be conducted, Thursday 11 a.m. Pastor Bob Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at Ft.
